This is a Masterclass for those folks who are already at a high Kazami-Ryu Level 3 or Level 4 standard. If you are not already a student of Kazami-Ryu but believe you already have equivalent skills, before you book tickets please contact Miss Gen directly via our website contact page and she will discuss if you are able to join in this Masterclass weekend. The minimum standard for non-Kazami-Ryu students will be the ability to conduct technical suspensions and transitions.

The curriculum is going to be flexible, and will not include teaching “forms” as such. Think more along the lines of being given a task ( “here are two pieces of bamboo and three ropes, what are you going to do” ) followed by discussions and debriefs. This Masterclass weekend is intended to break the habits of forms, and move into flow, speed, connection. To tie without thinking. To not have wrong answers, just different perspectives.
