Please note in-person Kazami-Ryu Classes are again operating, under guidelines available here. Online Lessons are also now available however, please CONTACT US for more information.
YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED A “BONDAGE 101” TYPE LESSON, INCLUDING ONE COLUMN TIES AND ROPES SAFETY, BEFORE YOU CAN ATTEND LEVEL 1 CLASSES (UNTIL THE COVID19 PHYSICAL DISTANCING RULES NO LONGER APPLY)
In late 2015 Miss Gen was appointed as a Kazami-Ryu Instructor and Deshi to Kazami Ranki and in 2018 was announced as Shihan (Head of School/Master Instructor) for the entire Oceania region. Since 2016 Evil Girls HQ has taken it’s place as a Kazami-Ryu School, with regular classes of this Osaka style of rope.
The Kazami-Ryu curriculum has been carefully tiered in order to provide students with the safest, sanest path on their journey in rope. The classes are offered at four different levels, and although we prefer that students have already completed an introductory class in rope bondage such as at Peer Rope, Rope Bite etc before attending their first Kazami-Ryu class, it is possible to attend even as an absolute novice.
If you have your own rope, please bring it. If you don’t, we have some house rope you can use until you are able to buy your own kit. We generally tie with 7~8m lengths of a natural fibre such as Jute or Hemp. Cotton can also be used, however we do not recommend tying with Nylon.
Please note switching is not permitted in class, ie only one person ties throughout the class. If you both want to learn to tie please attend as two couples, or swap week by week, not within one class.
Classes are held at our Shailer Park venue, the address and other relevant information is supplied as a download link with your confirmation email after booking. Classes are 2.5 hours long, starting at 7:00pm.
In 2020 classes will be held every second week (alternatively) on the following evenings:
Level 3 – Monday
Level 1 – Tuesday
Level 2 – Wednesday
Level 4 – Thursday
All bookings are via our Events Calendar Page. All prices are per rope couple, i.e.. the one price includes both the student and the model. Please attend as a rope couple, you do need someone to tie with and we do not supply models.

Being customized to the students individual needs, private lessons are the best way to improve your rope quickly.
$75 per hr with a 2hr minimum
If you are unable to bring your own rope model, we may be able to supply someone at a fee of $25 per hour, payable in cash direct.
“Bondage 101” Special Beginners Lesson
While Covid19 is active and the regular places to do a basics lesson such as Peer Rope Brisbane are not available, we shall run individual “Bondage 101” basics private lessons for absolute beginners.
This lesson will take approximately 1~1.5 hours and will you will learn about basic types of rope, basic rope safety, and a single column tie. This is the minimum requirement to be able to join into our regular Kazami-Ryu Level 1 classes.
$50 flat fee, for one person tying. You may attend as a couple, but if both of you wish to tie the lesson will take longer, so there will be a small additional fee involved.
This lesson can also be done as a single person, please let us know in advance so we can rig up a practice point.
